Because it has a much lower level of volatile organic compounds (VOC) and is therefore much less harmful. The "VOC-free" statements you see on eco-friendly paints don't mean that the paint does not contain them at all, because it's technically impossible to do without them. This statement is used for paints with an OC concentration below 5 g per liter. The C.O.V factor contained in our paints is less than 1 g per liter.
In our paints, everything that is natural is privileged: mineral pigments are used to give the color, which makes them more pastel than in classic paint, and of course British lime, i.e. limestone that has been used for centuries. However, like all powders, lime is irritating to the skin of the hand: gloves are strongly recommended when using the product. But once the preparation is on the wall, this product is 100% safe without any danger. Our buckets are recyclable and can also be cleaned and reused. For all these reasons, our lime paints are marked A +.
What is VitraC?
Vitrabuart is one of the few in the production of ready-to-use lime paints from ONLY natural ingredients. VitraC is a ready-to-use chalk-lime paint for interior use. PREPARE
SCRAPE
Remove loose or flaking material. When applying VitraC Walls & Ceilings Lime-Chalk Matt paint over an existing silk finish,lightly abrade surface before painting.
CLEAN
Make sure the surface is clean and dry. If, after opening the can,you find that the paint is too thick, you can add a little water (4% = 100 ml)to the volume and mix it before painting. VitraC Walls & Ceilings Lime-Chalk Paint mat is ready to use even on slightly dirty and greasy surfaces, however,it is recommended that the surfaces to be painted should be lightly cleaned of dust.
PAINT
Stir to ensure paint is completely mixed.
APPLY
Apply two coats with a brush or roller. Leave 2-3 hours between coats. Do not apply in very damp or humid conditions or in extreme temperatures.
DRY
Leave two to four hours to dry.
CLEAN
Remove paint from the brush or roller with a cloth and then wash with water.
STORE
Store paint in dry conditions and protect from extreme temperatures.
