Description:

Wharfedale has always been leading the hi-fi industry with high quality designs and technological innovations.

The Linton 2 is a 2-way bookshelf loudspeaker system manufactured in approximately 1971. The "2" in Linton 2 isn't a series code but a two-way designation to separate it from its Linton 3 three-way sibling.

With a power rating of 20 Watts DIN, the exceptional response obtained from this two-speaker system is the result of an extra-long magnet in the bass unit and a number of other significant engineering features not usually found in systems of this comparable size and cost.

The 8-inch bass unit with its extra-large magnet works in conjunction with a specially developed rigid paper cone and long-throw 'spider' (which supports the cone) to extend the bass smoothly down the scale.
The 2-inch mid-range/treble unit provides minimum distortion in the mid-range and a clean treble performance. There is a CAB cone (Cellulosic Butyrate Acetate) which ensures wide-angle treble dispersion for maximum stereo realism.

The crossover unit is a four electrical element unit which functions at 1200Hz. The complex network ensures the minimum of distortion at the crossover point.
The back proudly hid its modern moulded plastic terminals.
