All we need to kickstart the process from you is an up to date Certificate of entitlement - this is a letter for your award from either the DWP or Veterans UK confirming which allowance you have and how long you have it for. This has to be in your own name and address.

We will then find out what you need to help on the road to being mobile, many different factors will come into play such as your weight and height and your current medical conditions. Where you intend to use your product and the terrain you will be using it over such as steep hills, or slightly rough gravel off road terrain. We have a full range of products to match you with from automatic folding scooters, to lightweight boot scooters, powerful road scooters and a great range of powerchairs. We will support you within our shops and also when our friendly Motability team come to visit you at your home.

Home visit

To ensure you choose the equipment most suitable to your needs one of Parkgate Mobility's trained advisers will be happy to take a selection of mobility scooters or powerchairs to your home. This will provide you with the opportunity to try the equipment in and around your surroundings where any difficulties or problems can be overcome.
We always recommend that you try any mobility scooter or powered wheelchair in the environment that it will be most used, our adviser will be happy to answer any questions no matter how small or simple they may seem.

Delivery and Handover

When purchasing one of our new mobility scooters, we will deliver it at a time to suit your convenience. We always deliver our mobility scooters ready to use, and the delivery advisor will accompany you on a short journey at your request to ensure you are happy with your purchase. The scooter will be delivered pre-inspected and fully checked. The delivery adviser will demonstrate use, charging, and features of the scooter.
