Description:

The twin-engined Starfisher 840 Fly is essentially a fast fishing boat, but serves
equally well as a family picnic boat but with a cross channel range and speed
to avoid bad weather.

LaResaca has had three owners since imported into the UK in 2005. Purchased by the present owner in 2017, the vessel has undergone improvement, regular maintenance and has a full servicing history.

Servicing History 2017 - 2020

After a full hull survey carried out in Whitby in August 2017, all skin fittings were replaced at Coates
Marine yard and minor hull damage repaired. (Survey report available separately).

The vessel was transported by road to Lymington and the twin Volvo-Penta 160 HP engines serviced at Berthon's yard. Other works carried out included:
Replacing the port engine heat exchanger, replacing both shaft seals, replacing both raw water pump seals & face plates.

Since the winter of 2017, the vessel has been maintained and the engines serviced annually at Harold Hayles yard in Yarmouth. The Lowfrans windlass, Jabsco heads and Vetus bowthruster have all been serviced within the past two years. Additional minor works have included:
Fitting "Spurs" rope-cutters to both propeller shafts
Factory service of Webasco diesel heater
Installation of access hatch for port engine oil and coolant check / replenishment
Installation of access hatches for flybridge controls
Installation of access hatch in main fuel tank - tank professionally cleaned in 2019
Replacing engine compartment electric bilge pump and fitting manual & automatic switches
Fitting manual bilge pump in aft cockpit port side locker
Fitting Vetus stainless steel horn with switch on flybridge & wheelhouse helm position
