Job Description
We are looking for a talented chef to be part of our dedicated kitchen team, working in a professional, friendly and busy environment. This is for a in house school catering working directly for the Ealing council.
Drive consistent high standard of food for all user especially students. The right candidate will have:
Food Hygiene level 2
A love of cooking tasty, healthy food for children
1 year experience in a commercial or school kitchen
Enhanced DBS disclosure will be required
Schedule:
Monday to Friday


Duties
Supervise and manage the kitchen stations
Be able to work in a busy environment
Ensure and check that supplies are properly used and accounted for to prevent wastage and loss and to keep within budget limit
Ensure quality and consistency of food during all stages of production;
Lead by example and uphold professional standards, at all times, providing a source of knowledge and inspiration to all kitchen staff; and
Provide training to junior staff
Be able to plan, prepare and create new menu dishes
Ensure the team is working in a safe environment
Comply with and ensure all relevant hygiene, health and safety standards are maintained within the kitchen
