Description:

LEGAL FREELANCE

Are you still breathing a sigh of relief after the 30th of June 2021 and those transactions completing to avoid the increase in Stamp Duty?

Do you still have that laborious task you have been putting off, of registration of transfer and mortgage on those properties completed?

Have you got staff off or in isolation due to COVID or long-term sickness?

Are you looking for a new staff member but have little time to interview let alone putting time aside to train them up?

Then I can definitely help - have you ever thought about outsourcing your workload?

I have over 15 years experience in the legal profession, predominately in Northern Ireland.

As we have been through such a turbulent year where many businesses were uprooted and many of us working from home (myself included), I would offer the following service to you (not necessarily limited to post-completion matters) but all legal matters with me working on a freelance basis from home. Please be assured that all dealings to do with your firm and clients will remain in the strictest of confidence.

Services Offered:

All post-completion matters to include SDLT lodgement, registration of transfer and mortgage whether online or by paper form together with letter to Land Registry.
Preparing a variety of legal documents to include Wills.
Preparing Contracts and ancillary documents to assist in the conveyancing process.
Preparing briefs.
Drafting letter of claims to insurers.
Scanning, drafting e-mails etc.
Digital Audio-typing.
Relevant expertise: Conveyancing, Wills & Probate, Divorce and Matrimonial Matters; to include Contact and Non-Molestation Orders, Personal Injury Claims - to include RTA's, Employer Liability etc., Employment, Criminal, Civil County Court & High Court Matters.

You may wish to retain my services, short-term, long-term or on a casual basis. No contract and opt out whenever you wish, no tax, National Insurance or Pension to pay.

Rates:

£16.00 per hour. Usual working hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm. If work is required to be completed outside of these hours i.e. weekends/evenings. please let me know and we can come to an appropriate arrangement as I'm fully flexible.

Reasonable printing/photocopying included - approximately 10 - 15 pages per day, anything over and above i.e. preparing a brief etc, will be £0.06 per page. Please note I have a high quality colour laser printer, photocopier and scanner and only use good quality paper.

All costs incurred for example postage and courier costs etc. will be billed to you along with vouching documentation if required at cost price.

If necessary and within reason, I am more than willing to travel to collect files/papers and return home to complete the work. As this will have me away from my desk, the cost of this will be £9.00 per hour plus by above hourly rate. No fuel costs will be charged for this service. I would envisage collection/drop off will be offered on initially on a Monday morning and a Friday afternoon. We do however live in an ever-evolving digital and technical world and I would be hopeful that majority of our dealings could be completed remotely.

All hours freelanced will be accounted for and documented and I suspect this will prove in the amount of work I output to you. I will invoice weekly to begin with, provide my bank details and would expect payment by close of business on a Friday, so effectively our working partnership will run from a Monday to a Thursday and if any work is freelanced to me on a Friday, will be invoiced the following week and so on.

I am professional and experienced and would like to offer my services. CV and previous employer references available upon request. Please feel free to contact me by e-mail in the first instance, or by telephone.
