Our Team Leaders / Duty Managers are responsible for ensuring each shift goes off without a hitch. As Team Leader / Duty Manager you will provide management coverage across all aspects of the centre whilst on shift, jumping in wherever needed and ensuring customers are happy, and ensuring team members are deployed to the right places and are clearly communicated with on a regular basis.

Main tasks and responsibilities of this role include (but are not limited to):

Ensuring a welcoming front of house presence is delivered at all times when the centre is open
Assuming responsibility for centre operations on a shift rotation basis, ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the facility; including key holding, opening and/or closing the centre
Coordinating the efficient and effective deployment of the team, to meet the financial and operational demands of the centre
Undertaking fitness instruction, reception, pool supervision and /or membership sales, as required
Undertaking cash reconciliation and banking duties
Assisting in the development and management of a well-balanced activity and event programme
Preparing reports on the centre's operations, events and incidents where necessary
Ensuring that the centre is secure and maintained to the required standards of cleanliness and repair
Carrying out relevant and required health and safety checks
Delivering induction, training, appraisals, development and performance management of staff where required
Conducting team briefings (Huddles)
Providing clear leadership with regards to compliance with all health and safety procedures and requirements
Management of specific activities and initiatives as required, under the direction of the Operations Manager
Establish and maintain excellent relationships with our customers and potential customers
Adhere to the Equality and Diversity Policy, Health and Safety procedures, operating procedures, customer service standards and uniform policy at all times
Maintain own mandatory qualifications, licensing and CPD/ training requirements
