We have an exciting opportunity currently available for a Fabricator. The Fabricator will be responsible for general welding, fabricating & fitting of our vehicle conversions whilst also operating various machines in our fabrication shop. The chosen candidate may also be asked to complete any special projects as required, and may also be assigned to other areas of operations, based on business or customer requirements.


Responsibilities:
Complete general welding, fabricating and fitting of our vehicle conversions,
Ensure that all required parts for assembly are present,
Operate various machines including guillotine and press brake machine in our fabrication shop in line with health & safety requirements,
Read and interpret CAD drawings,
Take part in product development meetings,
Assist in testing products for their functionality,
Clean and maintain work area and person protective equipment,
Co-operate with the joint health & safety committee in any safety program review,
Complete any special projects as required, may be assigned to other areas of Operations based on business or customer requirements,
Work within a fast paced environment that requires flexibility and initiative,
Partake in overtime when required.

The Ideal Candidate:
Previous fabrication experience .
MIG welding experience.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
Auto electrical experience would be advantageous.


Essential Qualities
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent time keeping skills.
Ability to work independently & as part of a team.
Practical understanding of safe methods of work
Ability to operate guillotine & press brake machine.


Candidates will undergo a welding test as part of the selection process.
