About Us:

At Rowthorne we pride ourselves on being one big happy family and cherish the comfort of home. Rowthorne offers person centred care and support for individuals requiring long term or respite care in a recently refurbished residential setting with landscape gardens, providing care for up to 40 people, which everyone is proud to call a home. We have a visiting Library Service and strong links with the nearby Community offering people the choice and opportunity for people to participate as fully as possible in local community activities.

Rowthorne is situated between the local town of Alfreton and Ripley in the district of Derbyshire, in the centre of a warm and welcoming neighburhood.

At our last CQC Inspection we were rated 'Good'

Purpose of this role:

To manage the designated service area, as the CQC Registered Manager, to deliver a high quality 24-hour, 7-day residential care service.

Key relationships:

Line Managed by Service Manager Management responsibility for the allocated team of staff, including Deputy Unit Manager, Senior Care Worker, Care Worker, Catering, Domestic and Laundry staff.
Allocation of tasks to Business Services Advice and support to clients, families and their representatives, building good relationships to promote rights, and independence
Build and manage good relationships thought the department, agencies and partners
Participate in multi-disciplinary working groups to develop and implement new initiatives, reinforce good practice and working methods

Qualifications:

Successful candidates will hold a Health & Social Care qualification, demonstrate management expertise, and possess knowledge of relevant legislation and policy.

The job may require unsocial hours working including weekends and Bank Holidays. Payment arrangements will be detailed in any contract offer made.

Saturday and Sunday hours will be paid at plain time where it is part of your normal working pattern unless it is between 7pm and 7am, where enhanced rates of pay apply. Enhanced pay rates are paid for Bank Holiday working.
