FIRE RISK ASSESSMENTS for Rugby and surrounding areas in Rugby

Why should you hire an independent Fire Risk Assessor?

My service is completely neutral, providing you with accurate and truthful Fire Risk Assessments. As I am not connected to any fire safety company, I will not report deficiencies or recommend unnecessary repairs to profit from any subsequent work - my assessments are entirely unbiased, and I do not gain financially from any corrective actions needed to maintain compliance.

What exactly is a Fire Risk Assessment?

It's best likened to a car's MOT. An MOT ensures that a vehicle is safe to operate on public roads, safeguarding both the occupants and others from harm. Cars over three years old are legally required to have an MOT; without it, your insurance becomes void, and you risk legal action for non-compliance. Only those with the proper qualifications and training can conduct an MOT.

If your vehicle fails its MOT, you must complete any necessary repairs to secure a valid certificate.

The same principles apply to Fire Risk Assessments. Neglecting to have one, or having it conducted by someone unqualified, exposes you to legal repercussions and could invalidate your property or business insurance.

Like an MOT, Fire Risk Assessments should be done yearly (refer to the Kent Fire news article on Fire Risk Assessments by selecting the 'news' tab above). It may reveal compliance issues with current standards. Just as with an MOT, you must address these issues promptly to avoid legal consequences.

What is the cost of a Fire Risk Assessment?

Prices vary and depend on several factors, including the size of the premises, number of employees, and the nature of the business--for instance, if it involves high-risk engineering.
