I am a Person-Centred Counsellor, I work with adults and young people on a one to one basis with a variety of issues including: Trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, low self-confidence, bereavement and loss, relationship problems and issues related to work and employment.

I believe that people matter above all else, and that the process of counselling has the ability to change lives and to empower individuals.

During counselling sessions I aim to create a trusting relationship between us that will provide a safe space in which I hope you will feel very accepted and understood so that you can be in touch with your feelings and talk, without fear, about anything which concerns you. We can explore how you feel and possible links to your values, beliefs, behaviours and patterns of relating, increasing your self-awareness and helping you to make sense of your experiences.

I work in my own Private practice, offering one to one counselling, face to face, online via video sessions or on the telephone. I offer a professional counselling service working with your best interests at heart. The number of sessions can be tailored to suit your needs and will be guided by you and our work together.

I am also proud to work as a counsellor for The Teamwork trust, a local charity, who offer affordable counselling and do fantastic work for adults with mental health needs, learning and physical disabilities.

My values of respect, equality and inclusion have influenced my actions personally and professionally throughout my life. I have been a Police officer since 2003 this role highlighted to me how important mental health is and inspired me to focus on what I feel passionately about.

As part of my commitment to my clients I regularly attend continuous professional development training events to extend my knowledge and skills to ensure my clients are receiving a professional service from me. Read more
