I have worked in the healthcare industry since 2004. Elderly, adults and children with learning difficulties or disabilities, mostly autism, young adults and adults who suffer from mental health illness are the group of people I had the opportunity to support. In a nursing home my role was to make sure that residents are comfortable as much as it was possible due to their condition and very often approaching end of their life. In a supported living or residential care settings apart of supporting people with their daily routines was to make sure they attend their professional appointments, colleges, enjoy their time with families or friends. Very important part of my work was to organise activities or support people for their activities e.g. playing pokemon tournaments all over Europe, horse ridding, discovering new places. Working with children was to provide them activities for a couple of hours a day, the hours were called 'short breaks' - that was going to parks, cinema or discovering new places mostly in London and around.
