Claimed by the manufacturer on initial introduction in 1978 to be the world's fastest series production estate car; capable of transporting a total of seven people in comfort at a maximum speed (where legal of course!) of 124mph. A file containing all records from new including the original bill of sale plus MOT and service records is held for this particular metallic thistle green example which features ABS, electric windows, manual sunroof, cruise control, optional velour interior with additional seat row and original Blaupunkt Casablanca radio/cassette player.

B943 ABH was purchased from a classic car collection via Cheshire Classic Benz in November 2007, previously having been featured in a Mercedes Enthusiast magazine article being driven from their UK offices on a round trip to the Techno-Classica Essen classic car show in Germany.

Owner and service records show that the car was with its first owner to circa 95,000 miles / March 2002. An engine changeout is recorded at 76,326 miles / March 1998. An air conditioning recharge is recorded at the same time but the compressor has subsequently been removed, possibly by the second owner whose bills are for parts only. The third owner / collector took ownership in April 2006.

All replacement items during current ownership have been Mercedes supplied. The car is immediately usable as a comfortable daily driver; some overall tidying and engine bay detailing would be required to lift it to show condition. Present mileage is approximately 170,000, with MOT running to end October 2020.
