The Paramount Wrestling Academy is soon to be based in the Wigan / St Helens area and offers weekly professional wrestling training. All athletic backgrounds and fitness levels are welcome.

If you have any existing injuries or health issues, please consult your GP before attending.



The class ...
Weekly training is led by Chris Chandler, who brings more than 10 years of experience. The classes cover all aspects of professional wrestling training from the basics and fundamentals to more advanced techniques, including:-

Stretching and Calisthenics
Footwork
Holds and Reversals
Transitions
Taking Falls/Bumps
Throws and Slams
Pins
Submissions
Strikes
Character Development
And Much More

All classes benefit from a permanent 16ft wrestling ring and matted area.

Whether you are looking to work towards a career in the industry or to just meet new people or get in shape, attending the weekly class is only the beginning. Through 2018 many opportunities will become available. From participating in the promotion and setting up of events to assisting with filming or performing in front of a live crowd, your involvement can be as varied as you want. You will also have the opportunity to work with our affiliated promotions across the UK.

What you need ...
You should wear gym clothes and clean trainers to classes. No experience? Knee and elbow pads are essential. A bottle of water comes in handy and if you're the overly-sweaty kind, maybe consider a towel.
