About Ernest Hemingway:-
"Ernest Miller Hemingway was an American novelist, short-story writer, and journalist. His economical and understated style--which he termed the iceberg theory--had a strong influence on 20th-century fiction, while his adventurous lifestyle and public image brought him admiration from later generations."
About the Stories:-
"The twenty-six tales reflect the particular genius of Hemingway's deceptively simple style. His lean, terse prose perfectly complements his subjects: the rugged grandeur of the forests and lakes of north-west American logging country, the brutality but grace of Spanish bullfights and the raw spirit of the Central African savannah. The selection includes 'The Snows of Kilimanjaro', 'In Another Country', 'Fathers and Sons', 'The Capital of the World' and 'The Short Happy Life of Francis Macomber'."
