I am looking for a PA 10 hours a week, divided between Tuesday and Thursday.
The PA will have an understanding or a want to understand about chronic illnesses and their limitations. I am happy to provide the PA with the information that they need but learning on the job might be the easiest, good communication skills and attention to detail are important.
I have good days and bad days, so tasks will vary day to day, depending on how I feel. Some days the PA will do chores around the house whilst I rest. Other days it may require helping choose clothing, dressing, lifting wheelchair in and out of car, and going on an outing to somewhere local.
Ideally the PA would have experience with wheelchairs, mostly lifting in and out of a car when going out. Which isn't often. I have an electric wheelchair, that folds up to a suitcase size.
Some qualifications will be ideal but not essential; I find more important a PA that is considerate, caring and has a want to help others.
The perfect candidate will be reliable, sensitivity, positive and encouraging.
My interests include a variety of crafts like card making/ diamond painting/ painting, baking, shopping, watching shows, journaling, penpaling.
The PA must be okay with rabbits, I have a house rabbit that free roams during the day.
PA must have own vehicle; petrol money will be paid. I have a blue badge.
