Deerhounds

Deerhounds

The Deerhound is a large harsh coated breed that is often described as being tall graceful and very hairy. They are related to the Greyhound and originate from north of the border where they were often referred to as the 'Royal Dog of Scotland' because at one point in history only royals and nobles were allowed own them. Sadly the breed is currently one of the UK's native dogs that has been placed on the Kennel Club?? vulnerable list.
