Arlo is 3 1/2 years old and a very well-trained dog who knows how to sit, lay, stay, and jump, and he thrives on routine and attention. He is not dog-friendly and must be the only pet in the home, and he is very wary of unfamiliar people regardless of age or gender. With patience, frequent visits, and plenty of treats, he can be won over. Once you get past Arlo’s past traumas and trust issues, he becomes the most loving, soppy, affectionate boy you could ever meet. He does pull on the lead due to excitement, so an experienced handler would be ideal. Arlo is not neutered, though this may help calm him. He needs a quiet, stable home (no flats or apartments) with someone who can give him near-constant attention, though he can be left alone for a few hours without issue. He enjoys being walked three or more times a day and would do best with a committed, understanding owner who is willing to put the time into helping him feel safe and secure.
