We are in the TA5 area of Somerset- mindful of travel!

A very honest rehome; please text/whatsapp as i work so cant always answer calls!

Hes just over 3 years old due all vaccine boosters in August 2026.

Microchipped, up to date flea and worming. He is intact.

Pros: Calm temperament, quite relaxed for a cockapoo. He is very good with other dogs. Not sure about cats. Very affectionate typical for the breed, likes a good cuddle. Knows sit, come, here, lets go, walkies, down, in and leave. Has great recall, and generally listens well. Not into supermarket brands, prefers patè style meat, raw feed and duck flavour. No resource guarding found, hes happy to share and eat same time as other dogs. Loves being in the car, head out in the wind! Walks lovely, pulls a little but correction and he gets it which is good going. Playful but not with toys as such, loves a companion to play with. Loves a tummy rub and behind the ear and loves to be picked up, held and cuddled.
Great at grooming and having nails done.
Fine with water. Will swim if near sea or river lots of fun.

Good and mix of not so good: typical cockapoo velcro dog. Follows you everywhere which is lovely but...

Not so goods; doesnt like being left alone. Has high separation anxiety which wasnt explained to us when we took him on. He just needs someone who is home alot, can desensitise him with time and cope with the noise. This is the only time you hear him! He doesnt play with toys as such, been working on it and he has a particular toy he likes. This isn't a bad as such but need to make you aware.
He is a little nervous, especially with men which is a shame and odd because wasnt mentioned to us either, but my husband has been calm and patient and he has been very friendly, again, this is to make you aware.

We rent, my neighbours have complained about his howling when we leave the house. separation anxiety, is only reason to rehome. Great with kids we have 4 children from 3 right up to teenagers and he is very gentle with them. Doesn't pinch food, and only accepts if you say its ok.

Please only contact if you have the time and are serious about him, he is a loving boy, just a shame he has such separation issues! Read more
