These are large fowl and excellent birds. I have spent the last 5 years breeding these birds trying to get them to conform to breed standards.
The buff Orpington is a very docile, friendly hen. They are great with children and first time chicken owners.
We feed our hens the best possible feed and they all free range during the winter and are put into large open breeding pens once they start laying.
